The gentle Seris fled from Naluk's presence, his rejection tearing at her tender heart. Despite the feelings the god held for the beautiful goddess, she felt nothing of this but only his rejection of her love and affections.
Her heart on the verge of breaking, she came to a place where two rivers joined together. Adding her tears to the flowing water, she sat and wept. But her tears failed to blend with the water of the river. Instead, they fell to the side on the riverbank. The salt in Seris's tears began to form together, growing into a crystal as she continued to cry.
Her priests and priestesses gathered around the broken-hearted goddess and tried to offer her succor and comfort but to no avail. Imagine their suprise to see the crystal growing more and more each day as Seris wept the tears of the lonely lover.
Finally, Seris could cry no more. Vowing to never think or speak of Naluk, again, she left the land of Kiad and never returned. Over the years, the crystal grew to the immensity that it now is while the town of Ryksyll sprang up around it. However, it wasn't until the Elves returned to this land and brought the religion of Seris with them that the legend of the huge crystal was revealed. Only then was the crystal claimed by the followers of Seris and turned into her temple.
