Basically I'm a single white male . I work with computers at work, and I work with them as one of my hobbies. I am currently not married, and I probably won't be for a while.
I graduated UBC in May of 98 with a Bacholors of Computer Science. While I didn't do well as some people, I was probably reconigized as one of the best coders in the class of 98. Of course that probably doesn't mean much because probably everyone claims that.
I'm 6'4, have dirty blond hair, and expressive green eyes. People who have looked at my picture online have said that I look kind of demonic. Well I don't know if I should take that as a complement or not. I'm currently in the 28 year old range, but I'm seriously hoping to change this in a little over a month. Maybe I'll go back to being 21, but my car insurance is too high as it is.
I live in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. Though I use to live in Wisconsin, I decided to move back to Canada after some time in the states because I find that Canada is a better place to live and work.
I work for a company that was spun off from Philips . We [in Vancouver] still program the CDMA software stack for the Philips Semiconductor's IC. I left my job as head of QA and became 'just another coder' for the software protocol. I'm one of the senior CDMA software engineers, incharge of architecting the CDMA software stack for 3rd generation cellular phones. If you don't understand what that means, don't worry I'm not sure I know what it means half the time.
Well obviously I write. I write Hard Science Fiction (called hard because I'm descriptive about the science), I write Fantasy, and I write Erotic Fantasy (And these are posted)
I also program as a hobby, but not so much as I use to. Most of my programming these days is done on Ryksyll Moo.
I read, though I must admit that I haven't read as much as I use to.
I watch TV, and this isn't as much as I use to either. I may catch a show or two on the History, Discovery or TLC channels. Other then that I only watch 2-3 hours a week. There's nothing good on TV anymore. Since I moved into my own house, I think I watch maybe 1 hour a week these days. I may just drop cable.
I've recently gotten back into Plastic modeling, and I'm learning to paint with an Airbrush. I'll probably post some pictures later when I have the time.
I've also taken up going to Hapkido once/twice a week, and getting back to using my bowflex. Which takes away alot of my time from writing. But it is helping with my weight problem. I've dropped 10 pounds since starting.
Right now I'm starting to get back into the mood for writing. I'll either go back to Ionua and Malik, or work more on the Derek and Slizer, I'll probably also convert the world over to the D-20 system, since there's many different worlds converted across and I have many examples to work with. I'll let you know when I get around to it. I'll probably spend the next year working on that. It should give me a good backgroun on Mycle.
I'm also doing some background and organizing work on Ryksyll, hoping to make it popular.
I've also joined a few online personal systems, looking for a relationship, since I haven't found anyone in Vancouver yet, I think they're all hiding on me. Though I'm not against long distance internet relationships, I just have to find one.
I've also just moved into my own house. Went from an 800 sq ft appartment (if that), to a 2400 sq ft house with a hot tub. Boy the place needs alot of work. But so does every house. At least I own this one.
